For Future Lungs NY is a youth-led, community-driven public health advocacy organization dedicated to protecting and promoting lung health among adolescents across New York. We focus on translating public health research into accessible education, creating spaces for honest conversation, and partnering with schools and communities to address nicotine use and misinformation. Our work is grounded in science, shaped by lived experiences, and powered by collaboration, because safeguarding the health of the next generation requires all of us, together.

Meet the Founders

Daniel and Ryan co-founded For Future Lungs NY while in high school, driven by a shared concern over the growing presence of vaping in school bathrooms and the widespread misinformation surrounding nicotine and tobacco use. Frustrated by what they saw being normalized through social media and word-of-mouth, they set out to create a space rooted in accurate information, honest education, and prevention. What began as a response to everyday realities in their schools has grown into a broader effort to protect youth health through evidence-based outreach and community engagement.
